Naked Girls...TAKE 3!
Yes, we're doing it again! Come join us for our July production of Naked Girls Reading at the Anam Cara Collective! We're debuting a new cast, a new theme, a whole new show! Naked Girls Reading 3 features a cast of talented, smart, and beautiful women exploring the biographies (and discographies) of some of America’s best-loved musicians. With Naked Girls Reading, Asheville’s Anam Cara Theatre Company has created a space in which real woman are empowered to be naked publicly in a creative and autonomous manner, contrasting the hyper-sexualized, objectifying, and idealized representations of female nudity that are pervasive within our society. Audiences are invited to experience these entertaining, humorous, intelligent and poignant performances as articulations of alternative cultural values regarding women and women’s bodies – and to have a great time doing so!
Show dates: July 22 and 23rd at 8pm. Advance tickets $10, tickets at the door $12. Must be 18 to attend and 21 to drink. Bring ID.
