About the performance: Based on the book of the same name by J.M.
Coetzee, The Lives of Animals centers
around a series of lectures regarding animal rights, delivered by fictional
novelist Elizabeth Costello. Punctuating
these lectures are scenes of surreal animal interactions, tense family
dynamics, and humorous transformations.
This thought-provoking performance is sure to cause audiences to deeply
consider their own beliefs about and relationships with members of other
species.
